Contracting Parties & Scope
These Terms govern accommodation agreements between Hotel Montané and guests booking directly with the property.
- Hotel Montané (Ctra. d'Arinsal, 56, AD400 Arinsal, Principality of Andorra) operates as a four-star hotel registered under the General Law of Tourist Accommodation 16/2017 and its consolidated updates.
- The contract incorporates these Terms, any bespoke conditions confirmed in writing, and the Privacy Policy governing personal data processing.
- Third-party agency bookings remain subject to the intermediary's conditions; Andorran mandatory provisions still apply upon arrival.
Reservations & Confirmation
We confirm bookings in writing once availability, rates and guarantees are validated.
- The lead guest must be at least 18 years old and legally able to contract under Andorran civil law.
- Reservations require a valid credit card guarantee. We may pre-authorise the first night or a security amount pursuant to Law 20/2014 on electronic contracting.
- Group arrangements (five or more rooms, or stays exceeding seven nights) are subject to bespoke written terms, deposit schedules and cancellation conditions.
- Special requests (dietary, accessibility, adjacent rooms) are honoured once confirmed in writing; unmet requests do not void the reservation.
Rates, Taxes & Fees
Rates are quoted in euros and include compulsory indirect taxation unless otherwise stated.
- Room prices include Andorra's 4.5% Indirect General Tax (IGI).
- A tourist tax of €2 per adult (age 16+) per night applies for four-star hotels; with IGI this totals €2.09 per person, per night, payable on arrival for up to seven nights under Law 19/2022.
- Quoted rates cover the services specified in the confirmation. Breakfast or half-board supplements, parking enhancements or activity packages are charged separately if not included.
- Currency conversion fees or bank charges incurred on international transactions are the guest's responsibility.
Cancellations, No-Shows & Modifications
Flexible direct bookings can be amended or cancelled up to 48 hours before arrival without penalty.
- Cancellations received less than 48 hours before the confirmed arrival date, or no-shows, incur a charge equal to at least the first night of the stay.
- Advance purchase and promotional rates may be non-refundable; their specific terms prevail once accepted.
- Early departures are treated as shortened stays and subject to the applicable rate plan's charges.
- Date or name changes depend on availability and may adjust the rate; modifications are confirmed in writing.
Arrival, Identification & Stay Regulations
Check-in procedures ensure compliance with tourism, security and registry duties in Andorra.
- Check-in is available from 15:00 to 20:00; arrivals after 20:00 must be pre-arranged with the reservations team to guarantee access.
- Government-issued photo ID and the payment card used to guarantee the stay must be presented at check-in for all adult guests.
- A €150 pre-authorised damage deposit may be taken per room; it is released at check-out after room inspection, subject to the issuing bank's timelines.
- Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or provide notarised authorisation in line with national police requirements.
- Check-out is by 11:00; late departures may attract a €25 fee per room, subject to availability.
Guest Responsibilities & Property Rules
Mutual respect ensures a safe, comfortable environment for all guests and staff.
- Hotel Montané is entirely non-smoking; violations may incur cleaning fees and intervention by local authorities.
- Only registered guests may occupy rooms; the hotel must approve visitors in advance to comply with ROAT (guest registry) reporting.
- Ski storage is available for €5 per day; equipment should not be stored in guest rooms for safety reasons.
- Pets and service animals are not permitted within the property due to building regulations and allergy management.
- Guests are liable for damage or loss caused by themselves or their party; repair or replacement costs are added to the final invoice.
Liability, Insurance & Force Majeure
Our liability is limited as permitted by Andorran law, without affecting mandatory consumer rights.
- We maintain statutory insurance coverage under the General Law of Tourist Accommodation; guests should hold appropriate travel insurance for medical, cancellation and sporting activities.
- The hotel is not responsible for loss of unattended valuables; in-room safes are provided and reception offers secure storage on request.
- Force majeure events (including extreme weather, road closures, health emergencies or governmental restrictions) may necessitate schedule changes; we will offer alternative dates or credits where possible.
- In the event of prolonged force majeure, prepaid amounts are refunded in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.
Personal Data & Communications
We process guest information in accordance with Andorra's Qualified Personal Data Protection Law (LQPD) and our published Privacy Policy.
- Reservation data is processed to perform the accommodation contract, fulfil ROAT guest registry obligations and meet public safety requirements.
- Marketing communications are sent only with explicit consent and include opt-out mechanisms.
- Guests may exercise access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability rights by contacting [email protected] or the Andorran Data Protection Agency (APDA).
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Principality of Andorra.
- Contracts are interpreted under Law 13/2013 on effective competition and consumer protection together with applicable tourism regulations.
- Consumers may seek mediation through the Andorran Consumer Affairs Service (Servei d'Atenció al Consumidor) before pursuing other remedies.
- The competent courts of Andorra la Vella and recognised arbitration or mediation channels have jurisdiction unless mandatory laws dictate otherwise.
